◆个人简历
严太明,四川万源人,中共党员。主要从事鱼类生态学和保护生物学等方面的教育、科研和社会服务工作。从1996年开始接触鱼类以来,对长江上游珍稀特有鱼类生物学以及裂腹鱼类资源保护等方面兴趣浓厚,现为四川农业大学水产养殖学科渔业资源团队负责人,四川省水产学会常务理事。

研究方向:鱼类生态学、鱼类发育生物学、保护生物学、水产动物种质资源保护学研究。
研究领域:主要开展长江上游珍稀特有鱼类的资源保护,重要水产经济鱼类的种质资源评价和涉水工程对水生生态环境及鱼类多样性的影响和保护对策等研究。

◆教学活动
讲授本科生的《鱼类生态学》、《鱼类学》、《养殖水域生态学》和研究生班的《渔业资源学》以及《渔业资源保护与利用》等课程。
◆指导学生
已培养全日制硕士研究生13人,非全日制硕士2人。他们分别在在高校、地方渔业行政主管部门、国有企业和生态环保公司工作,3人正在国内外攻读博士学位,在读硕士研究生7人。
◆我的团队
本人负责的渔业资源团队现有4名博士,副教授,1名科研助理,在读研究生25名。研究内容涉及西南地区珍稀特有鱼类的生物学、种群动态、遗传多样性评估、生物地理学和鱼类性腺发育性别分子调控机制等。团队目前横向合作项目较多,经费较充足,可为学生提供较多的实践和锻炼机会。
